Grad Practices & Speeches

Are you getting excited?  We will practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at noon in the gym, as stated at the grad parent meeting.  It is important that everyone show up on time.  The first practice takes the longest - about one hour.

Speeches: You should email a copy to me and Ms. Ingalls.  She will edit them for you and make suggestions for improvements.   You need to have them ready for practice - but I hear them privately so it won't spoil the surprise for your classmates.

The Grad Bake Sale is on Saturday at 1pm at GMCS.  Thank you for baking and/or buying.  We need as many grads as possible to help out at the sale.  I know we will be missing a few for Manitoba exchange activities and a few for the basketball 3 on 3.  Just drop off your baking and we will price it for you.

The cheese order sheets have finally arrived!  You did very well with this fundraiser in the fall.  Sell that cheese! Please have order forms and money in by Wednesday, May 23.

Final Transcripts

I will send out transcripts automatically after June report cards to the place you have indicated...make sure I have you on the list on the Grad Board.
I hope you have sent in your notice of acceptance to the appropriate place...this ensures your registration for September.
Did you receive any ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS? This, along with your ACCEPTANCE LETTER should be in your portfolio.

Portfolio deadline

Time is slipping away!
PORTFOLIOS are due NEXT Monday, MAY 7th, 9 am
I have offerered extra help after school countless times, inclusing all this week...so far no takers, so I assume that means you have it under control! I did have a couple of you drop by and show me what you have so far, looking for last minute suggestions. I would love to see more!
Don't forget, along with your portfolio, you are handing in:
Application package: application form, resume, transcript, reference letters
I had met with you individually to go over these, so if you have forgotten something, come see me.

Portfolios will be kept until Graduation day.
