GRAD CLASS 2014!!!

Hope you are getting lots of goodies arranged for the annual fall Bake Sale...Saturday, Sept. 28.
The sale is open to the public at 1 pm, but you should have your items picked up and dropped off at school by 11-11:30, so everything can be priced, counted and sorted.

Less than a month to go!!

GRAD SCHOLARSHIP MEETINGS!

I have been around to all grade 12 classes, and gave out SCHOLARSHIP packages to those who wanted them.
IF you are going to any Post Secondary school next year, YOU SHOULD HAVE A PACKAGE!!!

Look over the package, and get yor questions ready.
I will meet with each of you over the next 2-3 weeks...BUT YOU MUST SIGN UP ON MY DOOR for an appointment time. It will take about 30-45 minutes. It is very helpful if you sign up with a friend, so I can get through the appointments quicker.

I will be away for Parent-Teacher Interviews. Parents are invited to call me anytime, 662-7004, or email me at brownhea@nbed.nb.ca  with any questions or concerns regarding graduation. (this applies for the remainder of the year...not just around P-T time!)


Also...reminder to let me know where you need updated transcripts sent. I know some of you have applied to 3-4 places, so this may change by June.

General Scholarship Application for UNB Scholarships - All high school applicants should apply for scholarship support using the general application. It covers just about all of our scholarships available to high school students who are starting an undergraduate program at UNB.

Special Scholarship Applications - these scholarships require a special application in addition to the general application because they require additional information about you to make a decision.

All students who have been admitted to a UNB degree program on the basis of their high school marks are considered for scholarship support ranging from $500 to $60,000.

Payroll and Benefits Administration is a 16-week program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to process an organization's payroll, communicate payroll information to its stakeholders and perform basic accounting tasks as they relate to payroll and benefits. This program is a great addition to NBCC’s Miramichi campus as the federal government has recently opened the Federal Payroll Centre in the city.

Introduction to Skilled Trades is a 19-week program in which students will explore building and construction, metals and manufacturing, motive power, and the industrial sector while obtaining valuable math, communications and workplace safety training. Some courses in this program may be transferable to other trades programs at NBCC.

For those students who would like to experience a test run of the college environment, we have a few Student for a Day events coming up. It’s a great way to learn more about NBCC, meet the instructors, and connect with current students to get a better idea of what college is all about. The upcoming dates are:

· March 27
